In service of community building in Columbus, OH, I taught and directed the performances of multigenerational dancer/participants at OSU who presented moving and spoken portraits of their intertwined memories. From 2007-2014, I choreographed and performed in independent works and concerts presented at Taiwan’s Tsai Jui Yueh Dance Research Institute, Taipei National University of the Arts, Taipei’s Thinkers’ Theatre, Taipei Art Photo, and The Taipei American School, among others. These works were set on performers that ranged from high school dance students to adult lay practitioners and professional dancers. Several of these works brought together international casts who investigated their life experiences to collaboratively craft work. Whenever possible, I strive to cultivate a sense of artistic agency with my collaborators. More recently, I had the chance to choreograph and perform in work presented at ASU’s Biodesign Institute in collaboration with Liz Lerman in “Science Exposed: Bringing science to life through the arts,” as well as in autoethnographic, danced work presented at the 2019 Performance Studies International 25th Annual Conference, and in work presented at the 2019 National Communication Association’s 105th Annual Convention. I am currently developing a piece that I premiered as a work in progress at the Bearnstow educational institution in Mt.
